My parents are still waiting…
They had their first court date a few weeks ago and did not pass due to missing paperwork (on Ethiopia’s end not theirs…). They were recently assured everything was in order and they would pass this time. But their court date was yesterday and they did not pass again—due to missing paperwork. Not only that but they also learned their next court date is not until January. Needless to say they are devastated. I know the process is frustrating, I’ve been there. But it definitely feels so much harder with an older child. To know he will be in the orphanage that much longer is very painful. But what can they do?
And in case anyone is still checking in here… I will be back. Maybe right after Christmas, maybe sooner, who knows… More later
