February 22, 2006-  Attended ‘How to Finance Adoption’ Seminar

March 1, 2006- Ordered Sarah’s Birth Certificates

March 6, 2006- Ordered Marriage License

March 12, 2006- Application mailed to Adoption Advocates International

March 12, 2006- Application mailed to Children’s Hope International (for homestudy)

March 17, 2006- E-mail from CHI stating they received application and will be mailing us a homestudy packet

March 24, 2006- Received letter from AAI stating they received our application

April 6, 2006- Received homestudy packet from CHI

April 13, 2006- Took first set of fingerprints (for DCFS)

April 19, 2006- Took second set of fingerprints (for FBI)

May 13, 2006- Mailed Homestudy Agreement and Payment to CHI

May 31, 2006- Home Study Visit #1

June 5, 2006- Received Contract from AAI

June 7, 2006- Home Study Visit #2

June 16, 2006- Mailed USCIS I-600a

June 23, 2006- Mailed AAI Contract

July 8, 2006- Received Dossier Packet

July18, 2006- Fingerprinted for USCIS

August 14, 2006- Mailed Dossier to AAI

September 7, 2006- Dossier sent to Ethiopia

November 16, 2006-  Received USCIS approval (form I-171H)

March 14, 2007- REFERRAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 27, 2007- 3 month wait complete

May 5, 2007- Assigned to group; case submitted to court

June 5, 2007- Court date

June 25, 2007-Second court date–We passed!!!

July 15   July 8, 2007- Leave for Ethiopia

July 18   July 11, 2007- Embassy Date

July 22  July 14, 2007- Arrive Home

November 2, 2007- Readoption Court Date
