It finally happened

After almost a month of big girl bed bliss, Supergirl finally figured it out.  Why lay down in your bed when there are about 5,000 toys in your room you could be playing with?  She has not napped the last two days, choosing instead to entertain herself.  No crying, just a lot of "chug-a-chug-a-chug-a-CHOO-CHOO" and "Brown bear, brown bear what you see?" coming out of the room (for two hours) until we finally come get her.  Eventually around 6 or 7 she just passes out, which is terrible since she usually goes to bed around 9:30.  What to do, what to do… (this is the part where you give me all of the wonderfully helpful suggestions)

Ah my poor kids have nothing in their rooms! Just a crib and a dresser.

I landed on this site from my SIL’s link. This is what happens when insomnia hits.

Be happy she’s entertaining herself, being quiet, and goes to sleep. Can her new bedtime be the pass-out time?

Ha! I have no advice. Bella has been sleeping in a big girl bed (ie. double mattress on floor) since she was 18 months. She hated her crib and I was tired of her feet in my face from sleeping with us! Now that she’ll be two in a few weeks, she’s decided sleep is the last thing she wants to do in her NEW room, complete with bed off the floor. Being a big girl about it is of little concern. So we take what sleep she gets, even if that means feet back in my face 🙂

Thanks for visiting my site! I should say “our” site since it is always about me and my daughter.
