Potty training

“Look at that turd, that’s a itty bitty baby one.  That’s not a big ol’ huge turd.  MOM—That one is my FAVOWITE!”

The girl is too verbal for her own good.

I have decided we should try some serious ‘behavior management/bribing’ in the potty training.  So far, it’s totally working.  We started on Tuesday-dry pants all day, Wednesday-2 accidents, and today-DRY PANTS!!!  YAY!!  This is after not using the potty at all…ever, for a very long time.  Her favorite part (and the one that totally stresses me out) is her wanting to carry her ‘potty’ over to the big one to dump it out.  Since her potty is in the play room this means she is carrying pee across the house….scary, yes.  Yet, still very exciting!

That is so so FUNNY! I love it! Better that she embrace it than detest it, right? I suppose posting a picture of her favorite turd would be going a little too far… 🙂

LOL! In my opinion the keys to potty training are bribery and just going for it. At some point we said to our boy, “look kid, no more pull-ups.” And less than a week later he was trained. We do, however, still use the overnights. We also bought this really cool toilet seat from Target that has a kid-sized seat built into it, which has proven to be the best thing we could have purchased for potty training. Congrats on the pt success – it’ll be over soon!
