Today

we did NOT pass court….  Something wasn’t signed by the Children’s Commission of Ethiopia.

So now our court date is rescheduled for June 25th….

Honestly, it seriously stinks.  I am now readjusting to the new expectations and letting go of the old ones, kind of hard.  I know in the end it will work out, but setbacks are hard.

Ugh!…so sorry to hear this. Setbacks/delays can be really, really hard — no two ways about it.

I’m sorry! The same thing happened to us and it crushed me as well. I think the only good news is that statistically the possibility of it not going through the second time is basically nill. Unfortunately, with the increase in families adopting, this will only happen more often. I know very few people at our agency that had successful court dates the first go around since all the new laws came into effect this year. Birth families not showing up can cause a ripple effect for everyone. I’m thinking of you!

You’ll make it through soon, and we’ll all be here to celebrate with you when it happens. Keep your chin up, friend. 8^)
