I love my job!!!

I work in a school. I graduated with my master’s in social work about 7 years ago and have had several jobs (including being a stay-at-home mom) since graduation. I feel like each job has helped me become better at what I do. A year and a half ago I quit a job that was keeping me away from my family WAY too much and became a stay-at-home mom/job seeker once again. I looked for a job for about 8 months and even did a little (very little) private practice during that time. Then out of the blue I get a phone call from a school, one I had sent a resume to a full year before. I interviewed, was hired, and started the following week.

I love it! I love the job–the actual work I do at the job. I love the people I work with. But the biggest bonus is the hours. We have an early school day, which means I am finished in time to pick my children up from school. They don’t even miss me! And this summer I was able to enjoy my first summer at home during which I was NOT searching for a job! We hung out, went to visit family, and even went on our very first little family vacation! It was amazing. I am gearing up to head back to work on Monday, with NO regrets! I have no complaints about work, and am simply feeling just incredibly fortunate that this opportunity was provided to me—here’s to another great year!
