I hate exercise

Just in case you were wondering I absolutely hate exercising.  I always have.  I have never been in very good shape…  I think my body was designed for sitting on the couch… Unfortunately I put on a little ‘adoption weight’ this last year.  Obviously not nearly as much as my pregnancy weight (since that was about 52 lbs).  However, the pregnancy weight pretty much came off by itself with little effort on my part.  This time around it isn’t working out that way, it just keeps going up…  So I finally decided I may have to put in a little effort.  I have tried to walk/run on the treadmill before but always lose steam after only one or two tries.  Partly because I have REALLY crappy tennis shoes and get shin splints.  So I have made myself a deal.  IF I go 3 miles 3 times a week for 3 weeks I get a new pair of running shoes.  I made my 3 times last week and have already been once this week.  I am definitely getting those shoes.  Unfortunately, this exercising business is cutting into the VERY little computer time I had to begin with.  I have been meaning to upload pics for a long time now, but still haven’t.  Once again–maybe tomorrow.  In the meantime wish me luck on getting some new running shoes.  Only 5 more runs to go!

You’re way better than me – I would have bought the new shoes first and then never get on the treadmill. I know – I’ve done it. Or, not done it. Or whatever.

I want to come help you buy shoes!!
Actually, the sooner you get them the better, especially if the old ones are giving you shin splints. We need to talk… 🙂

You came by the dislike of exercise honestly, your dad (that’s me) doesn’t like to exercise either. However, when I hit the million pound mark recently and all my muscles had atrophied into mucus–I decided I had to do something. So last August, when school started, I did too. For about 30 to 45 minutes each morning I start out with calisthenics and then I’m either on the elliptical torture machine or lifting. Now, six months later, I’m up twenty pounds. I hate exercise.
